Classic boat festival in honour of the Olympic Regatta 1912
At the southern gateway to the archipelago lies the pretty town of Nynäshamn with its marina which will play host to the Classic Boat Meet, part of the Centenary celebrations to celebrate the Olympic regatta of 1912. The marina is a stone’s throw from the railway station of Nynäshamn and the town centre with all available service, but still near to open fjords and fine yachting venues.
Around the harbour there is a large variety of restaurants of various types. Enjoy a beer in the open air at one of the restaurants or stroll about amongst the small red wooden sheds around the old part of the harbour where one may pick up a bargain among the local wares. Apart from refreshments there is art and handcraft for sale, antiques and other items of interest. Out on Frejas Holme there is a minigolf course which is popular among children and adults.
